“Participation In School-Sponsored Activities
Students who participate in school-sponsored activities, i.e., sports, musical events, clubs, etc., must attend a full day of school the day of the event in order to be eligible to participate.  Exceptions are made for school-related or PRE-EXCUSED ABSENCES.”

Additionally, in regards to school attendance, the Silverton High School Athletic Participation Contract – Athletic Code of Conduct states that on:

• Non-game days:  Athletes must be in school attendance all day, or prior to the absence, must obtain a pre-excuse for their absence in order to participate in their sport.
•  Game-days:  Athletes must be in school attendance all day in order to participate in their sport.  Athletes may appeal to an administrator in order to participate in their sport.
