2010-2011 College Planning Nights

• Freshman Focus College Prep Night: Monday, October 4, 2010, 7:00 pm – Freshmen and their parents are invited to attend this evening to learn about "Planning Your High School Career."  Location:  Choir Room, E 139.
  

• Junior Jazz College Prep Night:  Monday, October 24, 2011, 7:00 pm – Junior’s and their parents are invited to attend this evening to learn more about “Planning Your Senior Year.”  Sophomores and their parents are also encouraged to attend and gather helpful information.  Planning ahead can make all the difference! Location: Choir Room, E 139.
  

• College Night in Oregon: Monday, November 14, 2011, 6:30 -9:00 pm.  Free pizza and soda, College Planning Tips, $500 scholarships available - register to win!  Evening will include choosing the right college or academic program, finding financial aid and making college affordable, scholarships and scams, and completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

• Financial Aid Night:  Monday, December 5, 2011, 7:00 pm – A guest speaker will introduce the process of completing the FAFSA form, answer questions regarding other financial options, and provide assistance by answering questions regarding the subject.  Parents and seniors are encouraged to attend and juniors are also welcome.   Location: Choir Room, E 139.

• Scholarship Night/Scholarship Fair:  Monday, January 30, 2012, 7:00 pm - Local scholarship representatives will be on site to highlight scholarship application specifics with students and parents.  Questions will be answered and applications available for pick up.  Location:  Choir Room, E 139.

• College Goal Oregon:    College Goal Oregon gives college-bound students and their families a jump start on the financial aid process.  Fianancial aid professionals will be available at this free statewide event on one of the three Saturdays at various sites to help students complete the FAFSA.  For dates and locations about the program, go to www.CollegeGoalOregon.org.
  

• Sophomore “Step Up” College Prep Night:  Monday, February 2, 2012, 7:00 pm – For parents and sophomores to continue planning and updating for the college process. Location:  Choir Room, E 139.
