Oregon Collectors Association Hasson/Newman Memorial Scholarship Fund

  • Awarded to Orgon High School Seniors
  • Planning to attend as full time students at any Oregon Accredited public, private college, university, or trade school.
  • Must start attendance within 12 months of the award.
  • Must show proff of enrollment for minimum of 12 credits.
  • Eassy subject is to be 1000 to 1500 words.
  • Essay subject:  "Credit in the 21st Century."
  • Must be typed and able to be read in three to five minutes.

GFWC Oregon Federation of Women's Clubs Essay

Scholarship for High School Seniors

  • Available to any graduating Oregon High School Senior
  • One $400 scholarship will be awarded to the winning student to be used for college tuition fot further their education at an accredited school of higher education
  • Must be an Oregon resident
  • Essay must be 300-500 words in length, double spaced in a 14 pt. font
  • Deadline:  March 6, 2010/Winner to be announced on April 3, 2010
  • Essay Topic:  "Growth in Service"
  • Must include a letter of recommendation from an instructor in the Language Arts Department

GFWC Oregon Federation of Women's Clubs Penny Art

Scholarship for High School Seniors

  •  Any graduating Oregon High School Senior is eligible to enter contest
  • One $400 scholarship will be awarded to the winning student to be used for college tuition to further their education at an accredited school of higher education
  • Must include a letter of recommendation from an instructor
  • Deadline:  March 16, 2010
  • All media is acceptable:  oil, watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, pen & ink, pastel, etc.
  • All work must be original
  • Maximum dimensions are 28" x 36" unframed; there is no minimum size
  • Oil paintings must be in a simple frame, all other media on mats
  • Pastels and charcoals MUST be sprayed with fixative
  • No glass on any entry, but plexiglas is allowed
  • If entry is shipped, shipping charges are paid by the student
  • Applications are available in the Career and Counseling Office

Scholarship for High School Seniors

  • Any graduating Oregon High School is eligible to enter the contest
  • Must be an Oregon Resident
  • One $500 scholarship will be awarded to the winning student to be used for college tuition to further their education at an accredited school of higher education
  • Performance will be no more that 10 minutes in length and include no more than three selections
  • Memorization is not required
  • No taped performances will be accepted
  • Applicants will compete in the State Contest to be held on April 3, 2010 in Beaverton, Oregon
  • Must include a letter of recommendation from an instructor

2010 Financial Literacy Scholarship

  • Open to any high school senior who is a member of an Oregon Credit Unior affiliated with CUAO(Credit Union Association of Oregon).
  • Must have his or her own account.
  • Must be a graduating high school senior.
  • Must have a cumulative 3.00 gpa.

Associated Oregon Loggers, Inc. Scholarship

  • The AOL Scholarship Competition is a $1500 scholarship awarded annually (renewable for three years) to Oregon high school seniors wo intend to pursue a four-year college or university education and a career in a forest resource reproduction field of study.
  • Field of study examples:  Forest Managment, Forest Engineering, and Forest Products.
  • Applicants must submit:  application form, essay question, high school transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, and letter of acceptance to four year college and the college must be accredited by the Society of American Foresters.
  • Essay:  "What forest values would you describe as being important to Oregon's economic social and environmental well being?"

The LaVelle Mullennex Memorial Scholarship Award

  • Applicant must be preparing for a career as non-attorney Legal Support Staff.
  • Applicant must be a high school senior or enrolled in a school of advanced education (including the current school year).
  • Applicant must be in need of financial assistance.
  • Application Deadline:  April 1, 2010.
  • Application available in the Career Center.
  • Applications are to be submitted to NALS of Oregon.

 

SELCO Community Credit Union 2010 Scholarship

  • For students continuing their education at a four-year institution of higher learning.
  • A SELCO member or be an immediate family member of a SELCO member.
  • A grudating senior from a four-year accredited high dchool with a GPA of at least 3.5.
  • Complete application.  Application available in the career center or www.selco.org
  • Write a 500 word essay describing your plans after college, choice of major or area of study, and the contributions you plan to make to society after graduation.
  • Three letters of recommendation.
  • Seventh semester transcript.
  • Wallet size picture of yourself.

Oregon Nurseries Foundation Scholarship Program

  • Scholarships for students preparing for a career in ornamental horticulture and related fields.
  • Sixteen different awards are sponsored by individuals and Oregon Association of Nurseries Chapters.
  • Scholarships range from $500 to $1500 and multiple awards are possible.

Oregon New Lawyers Division 2010 High School Essay Contest

  • Open to all Oregon high school students.
  • Three winners will be selected to receive $500, $350, and $250, respectively for first, second, and third place winners.
  • All entries must be received at the Oregon State Bar Office No Later that 5 pm on May 12, 2010.
  • Submit a persuasive essay of 750 to 1000 words using only the sources and infomation found in the Essay Univers attached to application.
  • No additional research is needed or required. This is not a research paper.
  • A bibliography is not necessary.

  • Schoarship eligibility is based on academic areas of study, grade point average, financial need, Central Orgon residency, and other donor specific areas.
