Summer Experience
Molalla Communications FRS Youth Tour
Students will learn about the legislative and regulatory processes that take place daily in Washington D.C., as well as a comprehensive overview of the telecommunications industry. The focus of the trip will be on the critical role telecommunications plays in rural America and the impact poicy development in the Nation's capital has on our industry. While there, the gourp will visit such sites as: The Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials; The Korean, Vietnam and new World War II Monument; Mount Vernon, home of George Washington; the Smithsonian Museums and many more.
- Available to students who are Molalla Communications Cooperative (829 and 759 phone prefixes) members or immediate family members legally residing in the Member household on the date of the tour.
- Two students will be selected to represent Molalla Communications on this all expense paid tour.
- Selected students will be notified by phone and will be listed in the quarterly member newsletter.
- Upon returning from the tour, the students will also be asked to give a presentation to the MCC Board of Director's about their trip, what they learned and had fun doing, why the trip was beneficial, and anything else they would like to share.
- Tour Dates: June 5-9, 2010
- Applications available in the Career Center.
- Deadline: March 26, 2010.
- Applicants must be high school students, 16 or 17 years of age.
