Boys Basketball Action Today

The Foxes Basketball Team takes on Pendleton today in State playoff action at the University of Oregon. If you are unable to attend the game in person, the OSAA will be presenting the game streaming live via internet radio.

The game begins at 1:30, the pregame starts at 1:25.

Boys Second Round Playoff At Home

The Silverton High School boys basketball team will be hosting a second round OSAA State Playoff this Saturday at 7:00 pm. We are anticipating that this game will sell out the available 1400 gymnasium spectator seating capacity. Tickets will go on sale as the doors open at 6:00 pm. Prices will be $6 for adults and $4 for students. Reserve tickets will not be available for sale. Silverton High School will be televising the game locally for those with Wave broadband cable on Scan-TV channel 15. Again, we anticipate that this game will sell out and spectators without tickets will not be allowed into the gymnasium. Swim Team Goes the Distance

Congratulation to the Silverton Swim Team, for their success at State. The Girls 200 Medley Relay team placed 6th overall, way to go Ladies!

Mr. Hannan Loves Bacon

Tuesday Feb. 23rd, Principal Mark Hannan showed his true love for pigs. He was the man with the most money in his jar at the end of Mark Twain's Kiss the Pig fundraiser. The activity raised money for Mark Twain's Washington D.C trip this summer.

Thanks for being a good sport, Mr. Hannan. Also the pig called to say thanks for the kiss.

Student Play Auditions

Auditions for the student directed spring play, Bang, Bang You're Dead, will be held March 1st thru the 3rd in the SHS Theater. Auditions will begin at 3:20.

Spring Play

The SHS theater department presents, The Importance of Being Earnest. Show dates are February 26, 27 at 7pm. Sunday Feb. 28th is the matinee showing at 2:00pm. March 4, 5 & 6 shows are at 7:00pm.

Tickets are available for purchase at the door.

Adults: $5
Students: $3
Senior citizens: $3

Silverton High School is seeking applicants for a Head Football Coaching position. The position is officially open as of February 1, 2010. Teaching positions within the district will be available; however specific assignments are yet to be determined. Qualified applicants can fill out a coaching and teaching application (see link below) and submit to Gloria Rice at the District Office.
